Amber Benson is an American actress, director, and producer. Her most famous role is as Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Alongside that, she's directed, produced and performed in her own films Chance & Lovers Liars & Lunatics. In addition, she appeared in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Danielle Benson, the sister of her is a talented artist. His father was Jewish as is her mom. She was raised Southern Baptist Benson grew up in a Reform synagogue in Alabama. Benson's career has continued to flourish after the conclusion of Buffy.
